It was back by popular demand in 2016!  Local residents painted unique chairs. The chairs were displayed around town leading up to the silent auction. This community-minded event raised $1300 for the Fuel Fund. For video of the event please click here.

WOW collaborated with businesses throughout Woodbury for Small Business Saturday on November 26th. The new WOW tokens could be used for special promotions to encourage residents to get out and support local businesses! Fall Fest

In 2015, Love is in the Chair was the culminating activity in the Pay it Forward Project.  Local residents, professional artists and students repurposed old wooden chairs into unique works of art. A silent auction found homes for each of the 39 chairs, and over $1500 was raised to benefit the Fuel Fund at the Community Services Council.

In 2015, "Meander Down Main Street" brought over 4000 people to Main Street for a beautiful fall afternoon; on a cloudy day in 2016 approximately 5800 people enjoyed meeting friends and neighbors, connecting with community groups and local vendors, kids playing games, live music on two stages, a Woodbury Restaurant Samples Station, a beer and wine garden, an incredible variety of food trucks and even a pumpkin derby! For photos of the event click here and for video click here.

Pay it Forward

Summer Concert Series

The Ws Project featured 24 colorful Ws placed along Main Street to build community and encourage people to get outside and enjoy all the town has to offer.  Scavenger hunt clues were located on the back of each W.  Fifty hand painted Woodbury rocks were also hidden in plain sight...did  you find one? For scavenger hunt answers, click here!

Imagine an entire town reading the same book.  Imagine that the book inspires a series of kind acts in the community.  That was Pay it Forward.  From reading Pay it Forward  by Catherine Ryan Hyde , to painting Ben's Bells, to  noting a neighbor's good deeds, the Pay it Forward Project was WOW's first venture into project -based community programming.

Woodbury Restaurant Week was a celebration of food culture here in Woodbury.  Partner restaurants offered deals to brighten up March - New England's dreary mud season.  Also offered were a "beer and brewery basics" program, and partner opportunities with Woodbury Antiques Dealers Open House event and Community Theatre's Dinner and a Play event.
